The OptiStart feature ensures simple, one-step operation: pressing the on/off button automatically starts operation of the hood on ventilation level 2, which is the optimal setting for most circumstances.
Air in or out of the kitchen
If ducting for extraction is not possible, then recirculation may be another option. With the help of a starting kit (available separately) Simplicity hoods can also function in recirculation mode. In this case, the air is drawn through a charcoal filter that removes cooking odours and steam, and the clean air is recirculated back into the kitchen.
